
Susan Mozingo Ward (1809-1860), the great-great grandaughter of Edward Mozingo, a
"Negro man" who completed his apprenticeship in Virginia in 1672. Shown below
are her three daughters: Martha Caroline Ward (1835-1893), Susan Ward (1845-1926), and
Jarome Ward (1847-1933).
